Turniej w Budapeszcie
06-07.03.2015
Pálfi Balázs i Vanderer Gábor zapraszają.

You're certainly aware of the fact that besides making pinball popular and introducing the history of it, we are committed to connect the growing number of pinball-loving people in a community under loose circumstances and to host major competitions (plus other events) from time to time.
With this motto in our mind we're organizing a pinball competition starting this year on March 6th and 7th (Friday and Saturday) at the gallery. You'll get WPPR points based on IFPA's system, of course.
The contest will go on older & modern machines as well, and both the classic and modern tourney are equal in value (equivalent in terms of points).

What you have to know now (more details coming in the near future):

- CLASSICS: on March 6th qualifying will start at 16:00 (right after we open the doors of our museum) and run until 21:30 (each competitor has a selected hour to complete the qualifying session, in order to reach 5 registered results, so if you arrive by 20:30, that's also fine), and after 22:00 the knockout stage will begin (the best 16). From here duels on 5 different machines until 3 games won to get into the best 8-4-2, afterwards finals. During the classics competition we're also open as a museum, and you can try all pins (including next day's tournament machines).

- MODERN: on March 7th we're gonna start at 10 am (from 4 pm the tournament will continue in the event room). 3 or 4-player games will be held (depending on the number of participants) with random groups/machines per round. Players will get 7-4-2 or 8-5-3-1 points per turn. At least 13 rounds to play, top 16 will advance (in 4 groups). Each player will choose a machine (4 games will be played for the mentioned points), the best 2 will advance, and a 4-player final is coming in the end.

- The separate events hall will be open both days for the competitors and their partners, where they're allowed to bring food and drink without restrictions (but not into the museum section).

REGISTRATION:
We do not plan to limit the number of participants so you have the opportunity to enter the tournament on the spot. However we kindly ask you to preregister via e-mail (info@flippermuzeum.hu), if you're sure to attend (we need your name, high score name and IFPA ID), as it's a big help to us (the same goes for cancellation). Entry fee is to be paid in cash at the museum (Budapest, Radnóti Miklós street 18.).

REGISTRATION FEE:
- Classics: HUF 2500.
- Modern: HUF 6000.
- 20% discount for community card holders.
- Accompanying persons may enter for the standard museum ticket price (which includes a special access to the private events hall during the tournament).

PRIZE:
- The main prize of the modern tourney is EUR 250 for this year's European Pinball Championship in Belgium (this amount covers the entry fee for EPC 2015, plus the price of the flight ticket and a mid-range accommodation, though it's not sufficient for meals, transfers and other expenses).
- Other valuable prizes.

Everyone is welcome!
